We welcome Walker Hoopes as the Head Girls Wrestling Coach at Salem Hills High School. He previously coached at Southern Virginia University, where he has played a key role in the program's most successful regional performance and developed numerous individual place-winners.
A former wrestler at Utah State University and Star Valley High School, he comes from a strong wrestling family with brothers who competed at the collegiate level, giving him a deep understanding of the sport.
Hoopes is known for emphasizing accountability, resilience, and mental toughness while building a positive, disciplined, and competitive team culture. His coaching philosophy centers on developing well-rounded student-athletes who succeed on the mat, in the classroom, and in life.
Outside of coaching, Hoopes is married to his wife, McKenzie, and is a proud father to their daughter, Adalynn, and their son, Dake.
