Congratulations to our Performer of the Week, Matthew Fisher!

Matt embodies our program philosophy to Just Do Band. He is impeccable with his word, which has earned him the respect and admiration of his directors and peers. He is thoughtful in his judgment of character and makes no assumptions about those around him. He leads proactively with kindness in all his interactions, ensuring his teammates are supported and cared for. Matt gives his very best in every role he serves, regardless of whether it comes with any recognition. This is what makes a truly exceptional performer, and why we recognize him as Performer of the Week— he is someone who cares deeply and is committed to the success of others. ~ Mr. Adair

Brad Fillmore: My name is Brad Fillmore. I am an English teacher at SHHS. Before coming to Salem Hills, I taught at Spanish Fork High School. My favorite food is Asian or Mexican! My favorite holiday is Halloween--I love the fall and its relatively stress free. My favorite music is anything by the great songwriters like Billy Joel, Paul Simon, & James Taylor to name a few. I've been married for 26 years. My wife also works for Nebo as an elementary dance specialist. I have 4 kids, 3 of whom have graduated from Salem Hills. My youngest is a sophomore. In addition to teaching English, I run a creative writing workshop twice a year at BYU with Kyle Minson called Young Author's Academy. I have published both short fiction and poetry and have a blog in which I discuss life, literature, and share my own creative writing. You can find it at mysongofmyself.blog.
