Congratulations to our Performer of the Week: Alayna Maestas!
'Alayna has always been an ambitious player: from the time she was in middle school she joined the "advanced" group of students, tackling extra-challenging pieces and pushing herself to be the best musician she can be. Last year she fearlessly jumped into Chamber on a new instrument, keeping pace as a violinist even though her principal instrument is the cello. Last season, she went above and beyond by performing an extra solo at the region solo & ensemble festival. You can always count on Alayna to give it her best, and we're glad to have her in the orchestra.'
